Mercedes “MJ” Javid built her name across nine seasons of Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset before a heartbreaking, deadlocked finale vote on Season 2 of The Traitors became the moment most viewers now associate with her.
Long before that vote, Javid was already one of the more grounded, career-focused personalities in the Shahs of Sunset cast.
An Original Cast Member of Shahs of Sunset
Javid was an original cast member of Bravo’s Shahs of Sunset, working as a real estate agent alongside her castmates, including Reza Farahan, throughout the show’s run. Her real estate career predates and outlasts her reality-TV fame, giving her a professional identity separate from the show that made her known.
The Finale That Defined Her Traitors Run
Javid entered The Traitors as a Faithful and quietly built one of the season’s most successful runs, reaching the final three alongside CT Tamburello and Trishelle Cannatella after the trio unanimously banished the game’s last Traitor, Kate Chastain. With all three players confirmed Faithfuls, the group entered a deadlocked final vote, and Trishelle switched her vote from CT to MJ at the last moment, banishing MJ just short of the win.
Javid has been open about how much that ending stung. At the show’s reunion special, she revealed she had blocked both winners on Instagram, later saying she was able to forgive Trishelle but not CT for how the vote played out.
Divorce and a New Bravo Show
Javid has spoken publicly about her divorce from Tommy Feight, whom she was married to for seven years and shares a young son with, telling press she considers Feight family regardless of the split. Professionally, she has continued working in real estate and reunited with Shahs of Sunset castmates Farahan and Golnesa “GG” Gharachedaghi on the new Bravo series The Valley: Persian Style, which premiered in January 2026, giving her a fresh chapter in the same Bravo universe that first made her famous.
