Playing College Basketball at UCF
Marcus Jordan played college basketball at the University of Central Florida, a program far outside the Chicago and North Carolina circles associated with his father’s career. He didn’t turn that into a professional playing career, but it gave him a foundation in the sneaker and sports culture he would eventually build a business around.
Founding Trophy Room
Jordan opened Trophy Room, a sneaker and streetwear boutique in Orlando, in 2014. The store has since become known for exclusive Air Jordan collaborations and limited releases, building real credibility in the sneaker world independent of his father’s name, even as that name is obviously part of the store’s draw. Trophy Room has continued operating and expanding in the years since, one of the more durable business ventures to come out of the second generation of the Jordan family.
The First Real-Life Couple on The Traitors
Jordan entered Season 2 of The Traitors with girlfriend Larsa Pippen, making them the first real-life couple to compete together on the American version of the show. Inside the game, he quickly became a respected voice, reportedly someone whose opinion carried real weight with the rest of the cast, exactly the kind of social standing that makes a player dangerous. The Traitors moved to break up the couple’s influence by murdering him in Episode 3, ending his run early and setting off a much more combative back half of the season for Pippen.
The Split, a 2024 Arrest, and Life Now
Jordan and Pippen’s relationship continued on and off after filming before the two confirmed the split was final in 2024. In September of that year, multiple outlets reported that Jordan was arrested in Florida on charges that included DUI, coverage that circulated widely as a matter of public record. He has continued running Trophy Room since, keeping his business the one part of his public life that hasn’t been defined by his last name or his relationship status.
