Michael Rapaport built a decades-long acting career before turning himself into one of podcasting’s loudest, most opinionated voices, and that same bluntness followed him straight into Season 4 of The Traitors.
Long before the podcast mic, Rapaport was a working character actor building a résumé across film and television.
A Character Actor Since the Early ’90s
Rapaport broke through with a role in True Romance in the early 1990s and went on to build a long career as a recognizable character actor, including a recurring role on Friends and a part in Netflix’s Atypical. That range, comedy, drama, ensemble television, gave him a different kind of name recognition than most of his Traitors castmates walked in with.
I Am Rapaport
Since 2014, Rapaport has hosted the podcast “I Am Rapaport,” building a second career around unfiltered sports and pop-culture commentary that’s made him just as well known for his opinions as for his acting work. That same directness became his defining trait in the Traitors castle.
Clashing With Colton Underwood
Rapaport played the season as a loud, opinionated Faithful, and his most memorable moment came in a direct clash with castmate Colton Underwood, where he argued to the group that Underwood would be “better at holding a secret than you,” pointing his suspicion squarely at Underwood rather than deflecting it. The argument didn’t protect him. Rapaport was banished instead of Underwood, finishing 16th of 23, a mid-pack exit for someone who’d made himself one of the loudest voices in the room.
Life Now
Since the season aired, Rapaport has used his podcast platform to keep talking, announcing an intention to run for Mayor of New York City in 2029. He’s also said the two men patched things up after filming wrapped, a detail that fits Rapaport’s reputation: loud and combative in the moment, but not someone who holds grudges once the cameras stop rolling.
