The Plot: Isolation as the Villain
The official synopsis centers Peter Parker fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that’s moved on without him, his old friends building lives that no longer have room for the version of him stuck being a hero. That growing isolation sparks a change in Peter he may not be able to control, one that ends up being the only thing capable of stopping a new threat to the city: a villain no one can even see. It’s a quieter, more character-driven premise than a franchise this size usually risks, and one worth tracking against Holland’s earlier films in the role.
