Chrishell Stause spent seven seasons as one of the most recognizable faces on Netflix’s Selling Sunset before a brief, alliance-driven run on Season 3 of The Traitors and a major career pivot that followed soon after.
Long before real estate made her famous, Stause was working as a soap opera actress trying to break into a very different corner of television.
From Soap Operas to Selling Sunset
Stause built an early acting career on soap operas, including a run on All My Children, before joining the cast of Selling Sunset as one of its original agents. The show turned her into one of Netflix’s most bankable reality personalities across seven seasons, built around both her real estate deals and her personal life.
Marriage to G Flip
Stause began dating Australian musician G Flip in 2022, and the two married in May 2023. She has spoken publicly about the strange adjustment of Traitors filming rules, no phones allowed in the castle, meaning she and her wife went from talking daily to total radio silence for the length of the shoot.
The Bambis and an Unusual Elimination
Stause played Season 3 as a Faithful and formed a visible alliance and friendship with fellow Faithfuls Gabby Windey and Nikki Garcia, a trio that nicknamed themselves “the Bambis.” That alliance had a rocky moment when Stause helped point suspicion toward Garcia, contributing to her banishment. Stause’s own run ended in one of the season’s more unusual twists: rather than a standard Round Table vote, she was murdered by Traitors Danielle Reyes and Carolyn Wiger in a face-to-face reveal sequence.
She also developed a real, documented dislike of castmate Tom Sandoval almost as soon as he arrived, tied directly to his public reputation from Vanderpump Rules rather than anything that happened inside the game.
Leaving Selling Sunset for Neighbours
Since the season aired, Stause announced her departure from Selling Sunset after its ninth season, citing tension with castmates during reunion filming. She has since taken a role on the Australian soap opera Neighbours, a move that also puts her closer to G Flip’s home country and returns her to the acting career she started in before real estate ever entered the picture.
