Porsha Williams has spent years as one of the most enduring personalities on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, and Season 4 of The Traitors gave her one of the season’s most abrupt exits, built on a single misspoken sentence.
Williams was born June 22, 1981, in Atlanta, Georgia, the granddaughter of civil rights leader Rev. Hosea Williams, and grew up with that legacy shaping much of her public life long before reality television did. Before any of that, Williams had already built a career well beyond Bravo’s cameras.

Granddaughter of a Civil Rights Leader
Williams’ father, Hosea Williams II, ran his own chemical company and was the son of Rev. Hosea Williams, a key figure in Martin Luther King Jr.’s inner circle and founder of the charity Hosea Feed the Hungry and Homeless. Her father died in 1998 of complications from a bone marrow transplant after a leukemia diagnosis the year before, when Williams was 16. Her mother built a separate career running childcare centers across Atlanta. Williams has stayed active in her grandfather’s charity work into adulthood, and in July and August 2020 she was arrested twice in Louisville, Kentucky, while protesting for Breonna Taylor, an arc her family said grew directly out of the activism her grandfather modeled for her as a child.
A Real Housewives Mainstay and Entrepreneur
Williams was a main cast member of The Real Housewives of Atlanta from 2012 to 2021 and rejoined the cast in 2024, building her own docuseries, “Porsha’s Family Matters,” alongside entrepreneurial work outside the franchise. That combination of a long-running Bravo career and business ventures gave her a public profile that extended well past reality television before her Traitors casting.
“I Killed Ian”
Williams’ run on Season 4 turned on a single moment. While theorizing out loud with other castmates about who the Traitors might be, she said, “I killed Ian,” a line she meant purely as hypothetical wordplay rather than any kind of confession. Castmate Ron Funches called her out for what he characterized as “misspeaking,” and the slip was enough to turn the group’s suspicion squarely onto her, despite her actually being a Faithful the entire time.
The First Faithful Eliminated
Williams was banished in Episode 2, becoming the first Faithful eliminated from the season, and finished 22nd of 23. She said afterward that she felt “cheated” out of the chance to show real strategic thinking in the game, given how quickly a single offhand comment ended her run. In later interviews, she claimed she’d actually suspected Donna Kelce’s Secret Traitor status early on, a read that never got the chance to matter once her own game ended so quickly.
Marriages and Family
Williams married NFL quarterback Kordell Stewart on May 21, 2011; the two separated within two years, filed for divorce in March 2013, and finalized it that December, with Williams reportedly walking away without alimony or assets. She shares a daughter, Pilar Jhena, born in 2019, with businessman Dennis McKinley. In 2022, Williams married Nigerian-American businessman Simon Guobadia, but the marriage lasted roughly 15 months before she filed for divorce in February 2024. The divorce was finalized in June 2025, with a Georgia judge enforcing the couple’s prenuptial agreement in Williams’ favor, awarding her $40,000 a month in alimony for 15 months and letting her keep a Rolls-Royce Guobadia had gifted her. Guobadia was later deported from the United States in late 2025 after a separate immigration case. Four months after the divorce was finalized, Williams said publicly she was “talking to” both a man and a woman, the first time she’d spoken openly about dating a woman.
Life Now
