From Cincinnati to Kansas City
Born October 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio, Kelce played college football at the University of Cincinnati before the Kansas City Chiefs selected him in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. It took a few years for him to become the focal point of the Chiefs offense, but once he did, he stayed there for the better part of a decade.
A Historic Chiefs Career
Kelce is widely considered one of the greatest tight ends in NFL history, backed by an 11-time Pro Bowl selection and seven First-Team All-Pro nods. His combination of size, route-running, and reliability in big moments turned the Chiefs’ offense into one of the league’s most feared for the better part of a decade.
Super Bowl Success
Kelce has now won three Super Bowls with the Chiefs: Super Bowl LIV, LVII, and LVIII. In Super Bowl LVIII, he caught nine passes for 93 yards, leading all receivers in the game, as Kansas City beat San Francisco 25-22 in overtime, only the second Super Bowl in history to require extra time.
New Heights and Life Off the Field
Since 2022, Kelce has co-hosted the podcast New Heights with his brother Jason Kelce, a longtime center for the Philadelphia Eagles. The show built a massive following well beyond football fans, giving both brothers a media presence that extended far past their playing careers.
